Hello! I'm a musician, a voice teacher, and a pianist now semi-retired. That is my work life. But otherwise I love to read and I love to learn. I have two grown children: a daughter and a son both settled back here in St. Louis after trying out New York, Boston, Washington, D.C., and Denver. I never dreamed they would return to the Midwest, but I'm glad they did, because now I also have two wonderful grandsons. Though I have always loved photography, only in recent years have I had the time and money to devote to it. I'm here at SmugMug because I love to record memories with photos. I could call this page....Thanks for the memories! When I turned 65 I did a big European vacation hiking in the Dolomites of Italy. I enjoyed that so much that I followed it up with two trips to southern Africa, safaris in Botswana, South Africa, and Namibia, an Alaskan cruise, and a jaunt to Yellowknife to see the aurora borealis. I recently returned from up north, a twelve-day vacation in Iceland and Greenland. I love exploring locations where civilization touches raw nature. Those vast landscapes and monstrous icebergs were mind boggling and great fodder for my lens. Next up a more relaxing vacation in a cottage rental on the Atlantic cliffs of Newfoundland...with puffins.
